Redwood Quarry Loop Track – Among the Giants

Distance: 4.4 km loop
Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Wander beneath the towering Californian redwoods of Whakarewarewa Forest on this peaceful loop track. The Quarry Loop blends forest serenity with scenic lookouts, giving you glimpses over Rotorua and beyond. The track is well-formed, making it suitable for most fitness levels and it’s also popular with mountain bikers.

Blue Lake Track – Lakeside Beauty

Distance: 5.5 km loop
Time: 1.5–2 hours

Walkers enjoy shimmering lake views, a mix of bush tracks and beach sections and shady picnic spots perfect for a break. It’s family-friendly and a great introduction to Rotorua’s Lake district walks.

Ōkere Falls Track – Waterfall & River Vibes

Distance: 1.2 km one way

Along the way, you’ll see historic sites such as an old power station and watch white-water rafters taking on the rapids.

Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Park Loop – Geothermal Wonders

Distance: 3 km loop
