Travellers then move through the golden tussock hills of Lindis Pass and into the historic gold mining town of Arrowtown, where the Arrow River became the River Anduin in several scenes from the films.

The journey finishes in Tāhuna – Queenstown, before travelling to Glenorchy and Paradise, where forests and valleys were transformed into Isengard, Lothlórien and Fangorn Forest.
