Our journey through Malaysia has taken us from the energy of Kuala Lumpur to the historic streets and food scene of Penang, with plenty of return visits over the years. We’ve explored busy markets and local neighbourhoods, eaten our way through hawker centres and small local restaurants, travelled by train, ferry and Grab and discovered a country where different cultures and flavours come together everywhere you look. Malaysia is also a place we have a long personal connection with, giving our visits a meaning that goes well beyond sightseeing.
